Kodiak Island—Qik’rtaq

Kodiak Island became the homeland of the Kodiak Alutiiq between 7,000 to 10,000 years ago.  Once 65 villages strong, the 10 tribes currently live in seven communities.  Often known as the “emerald isle” or the “island in the clouds,” Kodiak is a special place.

We offer a variety of Kodiak Island pendants and earrings to allow their wearer to carry the island with them.  As featured in the top image, we can set a stone at any community location.

Barometer Mountain

The above panoramic photo was taken atop Pillar Mountain on Kodiak Island.  Barometer Mountain is often used as a means of forecasting the weather based on its cloud cover.  On clear summer days it is a favorite hike.

Cliff Point Horizon

This above panoramic photo was taken atop Pillar Mountain on Kodiak Island of Cliff Point.  Cliff Point beach is a well-loved picnic and camping spot in Kodiak.

Horizon Cuffs

With a love for the flow of the land, a horizon cuff is a meaningful way to carry the land with you.  Below are a few other panoramic vistas of Kodiak to select.  Or if you supply us the panoramic image, we can make a custom horizon cuff to honor any landscape in the world.
